Using the site
Unscrambly provides free word game solvers, reference word lists, a JSON API, and an embeddable widget. You may use them for personal or commercial projects, including your own game strategy, blog, or app. There is no account to create and nothing to buy.
Word accuracy is not guaranteed
Our dictionary is built from a large, openly licensed word list and checked as carefully as we can manage, but official game dictionaries differ from each other and from ours. Treat every result, score, and word list on Unscrambly as a strong guide rather than an official ruling for tournament play.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site or the API to overload our servers, scrape the entire dictionary at high speed, or present Unscrambly's content as your own where a credit link is asked for (see the embed page and the API page). Beyond that, we keep the rules light on purpose.
Trademarks
Scrabble, Words With Friends, and Wordle are trademarks of their respective owners.Unscrambly is an independent project, not affiliated with or endorsed by Hasbro, Mattel, Zynga, or the New York Times. Their names appear here only to describe compatibility with those games.
Advertising and cookies
Unscrambly may show advertising from third-party networks to help keep the tools free. Full detail on how that works, including cookies and consent for visitors in the EEA and UK, is in the privacy policy.
No warranty
Unscrambly is provided as is, with no warranty of any kind. We work to keep it accurate and online, but we cannot guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Do not rely on it for anything where a mistake would cause real harm.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site changes, for example when advertising is switched on. The date above shows the last update, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
