How to find the best anagram
Start with the full-length results, because a word that uses every letter is usually the highest scoring and, in a game like Scrabble, can earn the fifty-point bonus for emptying your rack. If nothing uses all your letters, work down a length at a time and keep the words that place high-value tiles on a bonus square.
Pay attention to letter patterns. Racks heavy in common letters (A, E, I, R, S, T) tend to have many anagrams, while a rare tile like Q, J or V narrows the field fast. Spotting that early tells you whether to hunt for a long play or settle for a short, safe one.
Blanks and awkward racks
A blank tile is a wildcard: enter a question mark and the solver tries every letter in that slot, so you see every word the blank could complete. Blanks score zero, so the trick is to use them inside a long word or on a triple-word square where the length, not the tile value, does the work.
If your rack is all consonants or all vowels, an anagram that uses everything is unlikely. Switch to the descrambler to pull out shorter words, dump two or three tiles, and draw a fresh, more balanced set next turn.
